Maracana Indoor Sports Arena hosts a Women’s Open Indoor League for experienced female players ages 18 and up, offering competitive and consistent match play in a comfortable, climate-controlled environment. Games are played on indoor turf Monday nights between 7:00–10:00 pm, creating a high-quality experience for players looking to stay sharp, challenge themselves, and enjoy the game year-round.

We also offer a Women’s 30+ Indoor League that takes place Tuesday nights between 6:00–9:00 pm and is designed for intermediate to experienced players seeking a balanced level of competition and camaraderie. Both leagues emphasize teamwork, skill, and sportsmanship, while also offering an inviting social atmosphere. After games, players can gather in our on-site social space—perfect for relaxing, connecting with teammates, and enjoying food and drinks together.

Summer 2026 Season 

Monday's Women's Open League

• Every Monday Night 

• Format: 6 v 6 (5 field players + 1 goalkeeper)

• Ages 18+

• Season Dates: June 15 to Jun 23 (depending on number of teams)

• Fee: $80 per player (7 regular matches + at least 1 playoff to play)

Tuesday's Women's Over 30 League​

• Every Tuesday Night 

• Format: 6 v 6 (5 field players + 1 goalkeeper)

• Ages 30+

• Season Dates: May 12th - July 14th (depending on number of teams)

• Fee: $80 per player (8 regular matches; no playoffs)

Cost Details:

• $80 per player – .Due either first week, or payment plan option ($30, $25, $25)

• Annual Maracana Membership: $20 per year (covers all leagues at Maracana)

Jerseys:

• All players must wear matching jerseys — same color and design.

• Teams may purchase jerseys from any supplier they choose.

• Maracana also offers A4-style jerseys through THE SHOP for $15 each. To order, contact Jess at 520-370-6435 for the order form.

• Please place orders early, as processing takes at least 1.5 weeks.

House Rules

Check-In:

• All players must check in at the front desk.

Waivers:

• All players must have a signed waiver on file at Maracana Indoor Sports Arena.

• Waivers are renewed annually.

Membership:

• All players must have a current Maracana Annual Membership and be listed on their team’s roster before the start of each game.

Jewelry:

• No hanging jewelry.

Minimum Players:

• Teams must have at least 9 rostered players for the season.

• To start a game, a team must have at least 4 players, including a goalkeeper.

​Guest Players:

• We ask Captains to not invite guests if they already have 3 subs on the bench.

• Non-rostered guest players may play if they pay the $15 single-game guest fee.

• Women registered in the same league can guest for free after checkin and wristband at front desk.

Game Scheduling & Rescheduling Policy

At Maracana, we build league schedules carefully in advance to maximize field availability, staffing, and a smooth experience for all teams.

 

Because of this, we are unable to accommodate last-minute schedule changes or guarantee makeup games.

 

Key Guidelines:

 

• All team captains should submit any special schedule requests at least a week before the season starts. We do our best to accommodate requests.  

• All teams are expected to play at their scheduled day and time

• Schedule change requests must be submitted at least 7 days in advance and are not guaranteed

• Requests made with less than 7 days of the game are unlikely to be accommodated

• We do not offer makeup games for missed matches due to team availability

• Games that cannot be played as scheduled will be recorded as a forfeit 4 : 0

We understand that conflicts come up, and we will always do our best to help when possible—but due to limited field space and a full schedule, flexibility is very limited.

Sportsmanship & Safety

• No Slide Tackling: Slide tackles are not permitted in indoor play.

• No Tolerance for Fighting or Violence: Any physical altercation will result in immediate ejection and possible suspension from the league.

• Red Card Policy: A red card results in removal from the remainder of that game and suspension from the following game.

Captain's Responsibilities

1. Register the team (includes paying the $80 Captain's personal registration fee only).

2. Create and add the team roster before the first game.

3. Ensure all players register before the first week and pay their fees by Week 1.

4. Maintain an accurate roster; update it before the roster lock date.

6. Remind players to clean up the bench area after each game (remove bottles, trash, and gear).
