Who:

Women's Open: 

Women aged 30 and older are invited to participate in our Adult Women’s Soccer League. All levels are welcome.

• While optional, players are encouraged to wear shin guards.

• Footwear: Indoor turf shoes or tennis shoes only. Cleats are NOT permitted on Maracana’s indoor fields.

When:

• Registration Open​

• Women's Open League runs 7 regular games + at least 1 playoff

  • Games on Mondays between 7pm – 10 pm

  • Each game is 50 minutes (2 x 25-minute halves)

  • Season Start date:

    • Monday, March 2nd

  • Season END: Depends on number of teams

Women's Over 30:
Women aged 30 and older are invited to participate in our Adult Women’s Over 30 Soccer League. All levels are welcome.

• While optional, players are encouraged to wear shin guards.

• Footwear: Indoor turf shoes or tennis shoes only. Cleats are NOT permitted on Maracana’s indoor fields.

When:​

• Women's Over 30 League runs for 8 weeks (no playoffs)

  • Games on Tuesdays  between 6pm – 9 pm

  • Each game is 50 minutes (2 x 25-minute halves)

  • Season Start Date: 

    • ​Tuesday, February 24th

  • Season END: Depends on number of teams

What: 

• Format: 6 v 6 (5 field players + 1 goalkeeper)

• Substitutions: On-the-fly substitutions are allowed at any time during play (players must fully exit the field before the replacement enters).

Cost:

• $80 per player – .Due either first week, or payment plan option ($30, $25, $25)

• Annual Maracana Membership: $20 per year (WAIVED - Spring 2026).

• Guests- Woman already registered for Women's over 30 league can guest for free as long as the team has less than 3 subs. 

• Women not registered would pay the $15 guest fee per game. 

Jerseys:

• All players must wear matching jerseys — same color and design.

• Teams may purchase jerseys from any supplier they choose.

• Maracana also offers A4-style jerseys through THE SHOP for $15 each. To order, contact Jess at 520-370-6435 for the order form.

• Please place orders early, as processing takes at least 1.5 weeks.

House Rules

Check-In:

• All players must check in at the front desk.

Waivers:

• All players must have a signed waiver on file at Maracaná Indoor Sports Arena.

• Waivers are renewed annually.

Membership:

• All players must have a current Maracaná Annual Membership and be listed on their team’s roster before the start of each game.

Jewelry:

• No hanging jewelry.

Minimum Players:

• Teams must have at least 9 rostered players for the season.

• To start a game, a team must have at least 4 players, including a goalkeeper.

Guest Players:

• Non-rostered guest players may play if they pay the $15 single-game guest fee.

 

Sportsmanship & Safety

• No Slide Tackling: Slide tackles are not permitted in indoor play.

• No Tolerance for Fighting or Violence: Any physical altercation will result in immediate ejection and possible suspension from the league.

• Red Card Policy: A red card results in removal from the remainder of that game and suspension from the following game.

Captain's Responsibilities

1. Register the team (includes paying the $80 Captain's personal registration fee only).

2. Create and add the team roster before the first game.

3. Ensure all players register before the first week and pay their fees by Week 1.

4. Maintain an accurate roster; update it before the roster lock date.

5. Contact the front desk or Jess (League Coordinator) 520-370-6435 for help if unsure how to use the DaySmart app.

6. Remind players to clean up the bench area after each game (remove bottles, trash, and gear).
